Dear Members,

Valleycrest is participating in the Canada Day parade, representing the Pierrefonds pools. If you would like to take part, please meet up at the start of the parade route, at Sources and Gouin at 9:30am. The parade will start rolling at 10:00am and will proceed to Pierrefonds City Hall, where we will be arriving at noon.

Look for the pools’ float and VYC shirts. You won’t be able to miss it. Bring your Super Soakers!

There will also be a barbeque at Valleycrest starting at 4:00pm. The Snack Shack will be open from 2:00pm.

Swim team and lessons will also proceed as normal on Canada Day, and free swim will start at 2:00pm.

le 24 Juin   Venez célébrer la Fête Nationale à la Piscine. Il y aura du plaisir pour toute la famille, les Barbecues seront à plein feu en après-mîdi. Heures d’ouverture: 11h00 à 21h00
 
le 25 Juin   Il y aura une clinique pour chronomêtreurs-en-herbe et tous ceux qui veulent obtenir leur certification afin de ‘travailler’ en tant que chronomêtreur-bénévole lors des compétitions. Cette clinique se tiendra à la pîscine St-Anne-de-Bellevue Vendredi à 19h00. Il n’y a pas de frais, mentionnez simplement votre piscine (Valleycrest!)
 
le 26 Juin   Journée Vêtements et Karaoke avec nos gardiens. Il y aura également une vente de produits pour natation à prix grandement réduits. Vos Barbecues préférés seront allumés une fois de plus. Heures d’ouverture de la Piscine: 12h00 à 21h00

June 24th   Come celebrate Fête Nationale at Valleycrest. There will be fun for the kids, and the barbeque will of course be on in the afternoon. Pool hours: 11:00 to 21:00.

June 25th   There will be a timing clinic for all parents who wish to volunteer as a timer at swim meets. It will be held at St. Anne’s pool this Friday at 19:00. Simply present yourself and mention that you are from Valleycrest. There is no cost.

June 26th   Clothing Day & Karaoke with our lifeguards. There will be a sale of aqua sports gear (swimming suits, caps etc.) at reduced prices.
The barbeque will be on. Pool hours: 12:00 to 21:00.

Dear Valleycrest Members,

Valleycrest will be doing swimming lesson registrations on Saturday June 5th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

Anyone who is interested in registering in swimming lessons, diving lessons, synchro, and swim team should do so on the said date. Also a reminder that registration fees are due. Valleycrest will extend the deadline date to June 5th without a penalty. There will be a 50.00 late fee after that date.

Guards’ Lip-Synch Throw-Down!

Friday, August 21 – Starting at 19:00.

Our Valleycrest guards are organizing a lip-synching competition – girls against the boys! Come watch our Valleycrest guards battle it out…

Kids and parents… Be there for our guards, who kept us all safe this summer. We can all vote with our vocal chords… (I’m sure…)

Congratulations to our 14 and Under girls for winning the N.A.A. Championship this morning. The Valleycrest 16 and Under girls also finished off the season strongly, with a bronze medal in the finals!

The Valleycrest 14 and Under girls also took home the Bronze medal at the Quebec Games earlier this season.

Our Valleycrest diving team had an astonishing year! The diving team won the ‘A’ Division in stellar fashion - winning all diving meets with crushing margins. Amazing work by everyone!

The weather finally cooperated this summer and we had a great evening with a big turnout at Valleycrest’s Greek Night. The food and cooking was spectacular and the dancing… well… I tried my best…

I big thank you to Spectra Oil, Alpha Meats, Salanina Foods, Defidis Foods, Miron Distributor and last but not least - Louis Stafalakis of La Belle Province Kirkland! Thank you Mr. Stafalakis for help making this a great community experience. We look forward to seeing you again next year, and growing our Greek Night even bigger!

Valleycrest will be closed for Free-Swim August 12th due to set-up for Senior Synchronized Swimming Finals. Warm-up starts at 3:30 - come in and cheer on our Valleycrest girls!

Our Valleycrest Synchro girls have worked hard all season, and after the prelims yesterday, have postitioned themselves nicely for the Junior Synchro meet at BRI on August 10, followed by the  Senior Synchro meet at Valleycrest on August 12. The VYC Synchro pre-Juniors will also be competing on August 3rd. at PPK. Come out and support Valleycrest!

Valleycrest 2009 Summer Swim Meet Champions

On Saturday July 18th, Valleycrest swimmers showed everyone, which pool has the fastest summer swimmers in the Northshore Aquatic Association, by winning the big Summer Swimmers Championship Meet, encompassing all 19 pools of the N.A.A.
